Shreds of Evidence
As the duo’s first production, “Shreds of Evidence” was originally created in 2021. Due to the pandemic, all actors were required to wear masks, creating a barrier between the characters and the camera. However, the film would go on to score the Sheridan/DeMar duo their first film festival screenings and awards. In 2023, feeling that the original film was strong but amateur, the two decided to recreate the entire thing. The entire film was shot within a week, and DeMar’s father, Chance DeMar, provided the film with its unique, identifiable score.
Directed by Michael DeMar and written by Caroline Sheridan, the comedy/mystery film parodies an investigative documentary, following Caroline as they track down the culprit of a most vicious crime: the theft of pencil sharpeners. Michael begrudgingly tags along behind the camera as the mystery unfolds.
